We celebrate the greening of our urban environments. We amplify the importance of ensuring we see nature everywhere, and highlight the ease of bringing greenery to every environment.

Formally known as ‘The Hills Bark Blower’

Scapeworks Australia was established in 2021 as a result of a decision to rebrand our existing business, originally founded in 1997.

We were the first Blower Truck business in Australia and began operating with one modest hand-built Blower unit out of a landscape yard located in Kenthurst in Sydney’s Hills district.

Like many businesses, it took time to establish our service and promote the capabilities and benefits of what Blower Trucks could provide to varying industries throughout the area. As the years progressed, our fleet grew and today we have the capabilities to operate on and service a range of projects Australia wide, with ten Blower Trucks and four Rockslingers.

To demonstrate our continued commitment to growth and improvement we made the decision to rebrand our business to Scapeworks Australia.

The Scapeworks Australia brand allows us to present ourselves under one strong banner, consolidating our Blower Truck and Rockslinger machinery services, and gives us scope to continue innovating and identifying modern solutions to meet the ever-changing Australian construction industry.
Our commitment to both our customers and suppliers will always remain our highest priority, as we strive to grow and maintain our reputation as Australia largest and most professional fleet of Blower Truck and Rockslingers.

Our Team

Jon Moon

Director

Blower trucks were first introduced to Australia in 1997 when Jon built two truck mounted machines in conjunction with a local engineering company. Jon had previously spent time working as a labourer for a USA based Blower Truck business while travelling and was excited about the potential of bringing this technology and methodology back home to Australia.

Over 20 years later, to say Jon’s vision has been a success would be an understatement. Starting operations with two hand built machines, and to now have a fleet comprised of ten Blower Trucks and four Rockslingers servicing Australia wide, this is truly a remarkable Australian business success story.

Chris Nattrass

General Manager

Commencing his employment in 2007, Chris came to Scapeworks Australia with a Cert III in Landscape Construction & Horticulture, and also attained a Cert IV in Business Sales & Management. Being relatively early days in our business history, our fleet and staff numbers were substantially less compared to what we are today. Chris has seen the business grow & develop over the past decade, and oversees the daily management of our staff, truck allocations and overall business model.

Glen Baker

Operations Manager

Glen began working at Scapeworks Australia in 2008 and came with a long history of experience in the mushroom growing and earth moving industries. His knowledge of mechanics and ability to manage a growing landscape yard proved vital to the growth and ongoing success story that our business would prove to become.

Glen has played a pivotal role in managing our multiple depots and has gained worldwide recognition for his knowledge and ability to troubleshoot and maintain our fleet of EB Blower Trucks and CAS Rockslingers.

Chris Furnari

Project Manager

As our business started to really grow and develop, it was evident that our daily workload was also increasing at a rapid rate. The number of large commercial projects we were being asked to supply to was growing and we needed to ensure that we managed these projects at an optimum level, as we saw this as a major part of the future of our business. In 2014, Chris joined our team and made an immediate impact on our ability to manage commercial construction projects, as well as focusing on customer relationships and alliances to ensure a repeat customer base. Chris brings a high level of project management & planning ability and ensures that both our domestic and commercial customer base receive a quality service from start to finish.

Chris has completed a Cert III in Landscape Construction & Horticulture and has worked with some of Sydney’s largest and most respected commercial Landscape companies.

Darren Hunt

WHS & Compliance Manager

Darren joined the Scapeworks Australia team in 2020 and was officially the first employee in our history to fill the role of WHS & Compliance Manager. Like many large businesses in our industry, the need to ensure safety and compliance across our operation had become a necessity and would be vital to our continued growth. Often being contracted by tier one builders and being engaged to work on high profile construction sites, it is a mandatory part of our service and our commitment to our staff and customers that we maintain a thorough and stringent Work Health & Safety plan.
Darren has decades of experience in project and policy management, and has been instrumental in assisting Scapeworks Australia become one of the most trusted and compliant landscape suppliers in NSW.

Luke Russell

Project Estimator

Beginning his employment at Scapeworks Australia in 2011, Luke initially commenced working here as a support crew member on our fleet of Blower Trucks. As the months progressed, Luke showed a keen interest in the machinery and expressed a desire to progress from his role at the time to attain his HR truck license and eventually become a full-time operator and supervisor. Luke did just that, and within 2 years had also attained his HC truck license and eventually became the full-time operator of our newest and most powerful HD semi-trailer blower truck. Luke remained in this role for many years until 2019, when an opportunity presented itself in the way of a project estimator position within our business. Luke was well versed in our operation and very aware of the site-specific logistics required for us to provide a top shelf service.

Luke accepted his new challenge and role as Project Estimator and currently visits many of our sites to provide a site measure along with advice and assistance in ensuring a smooth and thorough experience for our customers.

Rockslinger 1

The first of our CAS Rockslinger trucks and **the first ever to hit Australian shores**, this ST20 Model added a whole new dimension to our business.
Introduced to our fleet in 2007, The ST Truck Model Placer is a truck mounted material hopper with an attached high-speed conveyor arm that is able to place material at a desired location up to 30 metres away, by accelerating the material from the hopper, along to the end of the conveyor arm, at which point it leaves the conveyor and travels in a constant stream to the intended location.

When not being used for specific Slinger installations, this versatile machine is often being used to reload our fleet of Scapeworks Blower Trucks on job sites all over Sydney. This allows maximum productivity and ensures a time efficient and cost-effective service for our customers.

With a pay load of 14.2 Tonnes and a maximum bin volume of 20 Cubic Metres, this ST20 Rockslinger Truck is ideal for both commercial and domestic projects.
